An Luxurious Evening with Noel Fielding on my Birthday

The title of this post pretty much sums it up. I got to celebrate my birthday with one of good friends to see one of my favourite comedians and let's be honest human being- Noel Fielding. I love him. He's so eccentric and fascinating that it's hilarious and he did not stop me from laughing. It was an amazing night- better than I had ever expected as went into the eccentric and vibrant imagination of Noel Fielding with the running gag of the lady from Newcastle (Noel's future wife), his tea bag dream, the chicken man and of course Sir Steve the guy who desperately needed a drink all the time saving plasticine Noel with fantasy man. All his acts are still so vivid in my mind and it was just a fabulous night. That's all I can say. It was a great way to spend the night. A bit unconventional from your usual parties or clubbing. You go clubbing, I get to see Noel Fielding on my birthday. Who is having the better day? Still a fair bit of drinking though. Exhibit A.

The venue was at State Theatre which is an absolutely elegant and gorgeous venue. I mean look at all that pretty. I should mention that I got a new DSLR camera for my birthday as you can already guess by the quality of these photographs which are a lot better than any other photographs that have existed on this blog so thank you mum and dad.

Me trying to look high-class with my trench coat and turning away from the camera. True elegance.

Watch this if you have the opportunity. This was my first live stand up comedy experience and it was a blast. Thank you Noel, you fascinating nutter, this was a highlight of the month and I can't believe I saw you live.Me let watch repeats of The Mighty Boosh and smile of happiness. I bought a poster to remember this date. x

So Foolishly Attracted to You

Kimono: Topshop
Jeans: H&M
Top: Topshop
Shoes: Topshop

How gorgeous is this kimono? It looks really fabulous. I love the material and the pattern and it just makes a casual, plain outfit have that extra wow factor. I'm wearing my plain white scallop top, a pair of good blue jeans and  my good to go sandals from Topshop.

In the meantime, I'm just sitting in the corner at work. I love teaching little school children. Being an assistant teacher just usually means me at the back marking homework witnessing the class or walking around and chatting with the children. It's really enjoyable. I feel like they are all my little babies with their own little traits and quirks.

I'm currently learning statistics whilst getting neck spasms and wishing for uni to end. I just want to be on break again. My body can not take it.

April Wishlist

1. Floral Plastic Mac
2. Flower Paint Print Skort
3. Festival Fringe Cami
4. Coated Canvas Backpack
5. Lips in Inhibition
6. RIOT Metal Trim HIgh Heel Sandals
7. MOTO Milo Rigid Slim Leg Jeans

I have not done a wishlist since forever. That is not even a big exaggeration. I believe my last wishlist was back in September. In hindsight, I realise I should have done a birthday wishlist since my birthday is coming up in 2 weeks. I didn't realise this idea until I just literally started typing up this post.

First of all, I should warn you everything here is Topshop. I've been seeing statement piece raincoats in Topshop a lot recently. I'm not sure this is a trend but I'm on it and I want one. The floral one is extremely cute and as you can see my love for pastels and florals never seems to cease. I love the skort as well.

I always get excited for festival season and I think fringe camis are perfect to wear paired with shorts and some good old rainboots. I've also loving silver and I think this backpack is rad and would look great with a bit of gothic inspired violet lipstick. I bought one similar to this and wore it a few times and then never again as I have stuck with my nudes and also I thought it was a bit scary to wear in public. I think I'm going to bring it back.

In terms of shoes, I like my shoes classic and simple. I've finally got into the monochrome trend guys. I finally did it. However, these neon yellow shoes caught my eyes and they just screamed wow. Paired with a simple white or black bodycon dress and damn gurl.

And how can you go wrong with Topshop jeans. You can't.

What have you been loving this April? I haven't done a wishlist in ages but it was a lot of fun to make.

Hope you all had a good Easter. It's so good that I got my blogging mojo back.

Travel Diary | Kangaroo Valley

For Easter, we made a trip to Kangaroo Valley which is in the Southern Highlands a little inland from Kiama. It was meant to be a trip a little under two hours from Sydney but we ended up taking about three because we went the wrong way twice and had a stop over at KFC because we could.

The main attraction of the little town is the bridge. It's the oldest surviving suspension bridge from the colonial period in New South Wales and the only timber suspension bridge still carrying traffic still in operation in Australia which is pretty damn good for a bridge that was built in 1898. It's quite beautiful and so is the view when you walk down by the river. My brother tried throwing sticks at a bird. Luckily all his attempts missed. And no we did not see any kangaroos unfortunately haha.

Then we went down the main road of the town and we found this shop that sold wooden items. I found this wooden house quite adorable with all the carved furniture, humans and even a dog.

I really liked the design this cafe did. Unfortunately it was closed since its Easter but I'm sure the inside and the food is lovely.

Look at all this ice-cream. Even when it was raining for the majority of the day and we filled our bellies with Mum's sushi, I still had to force myself not to get one.

So that was how I spent Monday. I'm sure you all had a fantastic Easter.

Random Ramblings: #1

Happy Easter everyone! Just enjoying my book that I've been wanting forever- from my style icon Alexa Chung. I got for $15 secondhand which I thought was a steal since it's practically brand new and I read it all in one sitting. I love how she shares her own inspirations, style giving us advice and I love the photographs and doodles she's added too. I've got to admit I finished the book way too quickly but I can always pick it up and re-read or add it in the background of some of my blog posts. Yes, I'm reading some of your blogs.

In other news, how good was my trifle. Mum bought home four as they were all discounted and they were très bonne

Moving on to my Lush haul. Having gotten carried away and being shown how golden egg bath bombs dazzle in water and watching the employees having a competition on who could foam Ultraviolet the fastest and then getting pampered to some face masks, I lost track of time and couldn't be bothered attending my accounting lecture. What's worse was I had a very convenient three hour break. Not. I occupied myself by having lunch with friends. I have attached evidence with a photograph of our chicken kebab and chips covered in glorious gravy. I spent the next two hours falling asleep with god knows who around me.

Yesterday, I also watched the new movie, The Duff. Despite being a tad predictable, it was still a fun movie giving off a Mean Girls/ Easy A vibe. I am a sucker for awkward teenage tomboys as lead females and I did enjoy it. I wish I had a hot neighbour like Wes whom I can fall in love with. The reality is I live next to a man who lives in solitude who used to listen to only jazz. He's stopped playing music entirely. I kind of miss it and I also hope he hasn't discovered the Internet .
