Topshop Christmas Lip Bullet Duo in Tamed and Joyride | Beauty

In time for the Christmas season, Topshop has come with a beautiful lip bullet duo with Joyride, a beautiful Christmas red (think Russian Red from MAC) and Tamed, a lovely pink -brown nude. They only retail for $24 and the packaging is beautiful. I'm obsessed with anything gold and glittery and I love the colours in the set. They are beautiful colours that are extremely moisturising and so creamy and easy to glide on the lips. I'm not a huge fan of the white packaging of the lip bullet as I tend to get product and stain. The lasting power is only about 3-4 hours so touch-ups are inevitable but overall, this is a really nice product.

Priceline 40% Off Haul | Beauty

L-R
Essie Nail Polish in Lilacism, Fiji and Beach Blu Bum
Australis Velourlips in Doo-Bai
Loreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Organza 236
Bourjois CC Eye Cream
MAC Lip Pencil in Soar
MAC Lipstick in Meur

Hello my little munchkins! I know I haven't blogged in a while and with uni and the work- I haven't really had a lot of spare time on my hands. Luckily, exams are over but I am still working heaps. This week, it involves 5 shifts that all, yes all, start at 5:30 am. Yes, that is H&M for you. I don't mind it- when you look past the struggle to wake up at hideous times in the morning, the latest I would finish is 1 or 2 which means a good few hours of the afternoon and all of the night for you to play with.

Priceline had a 40% off cosmetics sale this week. I swore to myself I wouldn't get anything as I didn't really need anything and I feel I have matured by buying more high-end products including MAC. I purchased my first lipstick and I went with Meur. I love matte and I have a lot of reds and nudes so I went with a nice pink which worked really nice with Soar. Working at H&M means that Sephora is right around the corner which hasn't helped.

But I saw Essie nail polish and I couldn't resist picking a few. I went with two pastels because that is my obsession and a nice summery colour which I chose in Beach Blu Bum. It reminds me of the ocean and mermaids and glitter and it looks oh so beautiful. I also went with a few lipsticks- the Loreal one being a bit of a whim having been raved about in other people's blogs and I just wanted to try an eye concealer as I feel that is one of the things that I am very self-conscious. My massive eye bags. I am currently using Wake Me Up by Rimmel. Don't get me wrong- I don't mind Rimmel but I just don't really like buying from there anymore.

I hope this week will treat you all lovely. As we speak, I am still waiting for lasagna. I turned down a friend's invite to go clubbing tonight because I was waiting for lasagna.

This is probably why I don't have many friends haha.

Toodles,

Oh I'm Ready to be Somebody Else

Top: Topshop
Shirt: Forever New
Pants: American Apparel
Shoes: Addidas
Clutch: Topshop

Tonight Last Dinosaurs are playing tonight in Sydney and I'm super keen. This is my concert outfit I whipped up today. I'm wearing one of the comfiest shoes of all time- my beloved Addidas Superstars. My pants are the disco pants from American Apparel. They may look like ordinary leggings but that subtle sheen is so lovely and perfect for nights out when you want to wear pants because let's face it - it's cold.

I'm wearing a stripe top from Topshop with a denim shirt from Forever New which I have not worn in years. The clutch reminds me of snakeskin and I love the baby blue colour. It sort of matches my mint nails.

My friend wanted to me to come for the opening of Mecca Maxima at the QVB on Saturday morning because the first 20 receive an amazing Nars lipstick and other goodies like from Too Faced. So I guess it's worth it. Although, I would have to catch a train at like 4:30 am and that means me having to pull an all nighter after the concert because I am terrible with alarms. Not because I'm so lazy because I keep snoozing.

I genuinely don't hear them...

Going to re-listen to the album before the concert tonight.

Update
A vlog of the concert- enjoy!

The amazing Vallis Alps at Oxford Art Factory 30/09/15

I must admit I am a bit disappointed at myself.

Blogging has been something I have enjoyed doing so seeing that it has been stagnant for more than a month is something I'm not proud of. So much has changed since we've last seen each other.

I think it's because I've decided to run for publications director at the Fashion and Beauty Appreciation Society at my university that reminded me of blogging. This year I've been part of writing the newsletters mainly about fashion and beauty trends and it has been a blast. I'm going to be a sales assistant at H&M. Yesssss!

I saw Vallis Alps last week which was amazing and I'm seeing Last Dinosaurs this Friday. *internally screams*

I've bought a planner to keep me organised because I told myself- I'm going to change. And I'm going to change by telling myself I'm going to blog again. Blogging should not be a chore, it should be fun.

So here we go again,

July Favourites

Hope everyone had a wonderful July! I thought this month it would be cool to do a favourites video rather than a post. Then I thought why not have a post about the favourites video. Trippy right?

This month I have adored many beauty products including the Anastasia Dipbrow (yes, it's finally mine). I've been enjoying skincare from Lush as always and have been buying a lot of clothes which is not a good idea. In fact, as I'm writing this I received my order from Missguided and I adore it. I have to show it some time. The addition of fairy lights to my bedroom makes me delightful. I definitely want more.

Now watch the video. Please :)

Hopefully, I'll be making more videos as I thoroughly enjoy it. Is it weird that I find the editing process highly enjoyable? So don't forget to give me a subscribe because that gives me the drive to continue. I'm really happy with the positivity and with one of my videos- a vlog of my concert (Last Dinosaurs) nearing 700 views which is unbelievable. Funnily, I picked up tickets from my friend this morning. Last Dinosaurs Part II is happening and I am so excited about it. Their new album came out and i love it.

July Beauty Haul

First Picture
Topshop Blush in Let Her Go
Topshop Eyeshadow in Interstellar
Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencil in In Love with Coral
Stila Liquid Eyeliner in Indigo
Topshop Lip Bullet in Heartbeat

Second Picture
Soap and Glory Hand Cream
Topshop Matte Nails in Breakfast Club
Topshop Nails in Figment
Topshop All Over Glow Liquid Illuminator in Ignite

Third Picture
Lush Herbalism Facial Cleanser
Lush Mask of Magnanimity (sample)
Lush Tea Tree Toner

I have to say I am quite impressed with the beauty haul I have collected so far this July thanks to holidays and my new waitressing job which is in a district that makes me go shopping. I tend to post mainly on fashion, food or music so I thought it was time beauty got a little mention.

I am in love with Topshop sales. Topshop as we know is pricey but sometimes their sales are ridiculous. Every make-up purchase from Topshop pictured cost no more than $4 individually. That is crazy. The eye shadow in Interstellar has definitely made me go wow with a purple-grey shimmer as well as the liquid illuminator. It creates a nice glow and doesn't irritate my ridiculously sensitive skin. Go figure!

I also picked a Soap and Glory hand cream at Mecca Maxima. Obviously I look through the travel size minis first and hopefully splurge on some lush products from Nars, Urban Decay, etc. Meanwhile I have a Stila eyeliner in indigo. I was a bit hesitant to purchase but now I think coloured eyeliner looks amazing and for only $5 at the Glebe markets. Such a steal.

I can not forget Lush. Starting tomorrow I'm going to sort out a schedule to use my bath bombs. I have some back from last Christmas. It's that bad. I probably will procrastinate this but it needs to be done. Meanwhile I've bought face products instead including a cleanser and toner. Because I have oily yet sensitive and slightly blemished skin (did not ask for this) I'm trying out the tea tree toner and cleanser in Herbalism to alleviate my problems so stay tuned.

I've been listening to Apollo by Last Dinosaurs on repeat for a few days now. If you've seen a previous post or a YouTube video (if you've seen the video, go you!), you will know I went to see Last Dinosaurs in concert and they're coming again in October. My body is ready and I'm keen!

Review | The Grounds of Alexandria

If you live in Sydney you have bound to have heard this place before. Ring any bells? It has frequently appeared on my Instagram feed. My friends and I were keen to finally check this place out and I was setting up myself for disappointment because I thought this place was wellllllll overhyped.

To an extent, I was not wrong but I was more thoroughly surprised and delighted with my experience. Due to its popularity, we waited about an hour for lunch but there is so much to explore and do. The Grounds of Alexandria is known for its aesthetic, its lush vibrancy and natural wholeness. I do not really know what I'm saying here and I'm sounding a tad pretentious. There are little pastries, lemonade, a potting shed and a petting farm. The food there is good, nothing marvellous but nonetheless enjoyable but also affordable. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, especially with a couple of friends and having a nice lunch even if it does consist of hamburgers and chips. A real classic. This place really does have a pleasant atmosphere and I understand its attractiveness.

It's only a short walk from St Peters station. (20 mins)  Whether I would frequently come here is another question but I will definitely come here in the near future.

Fashion Envy | Hhotaru

From Top to Bottom (left to right)
1 // 2 // 3
4 // 5 // 6
7 // 8 // 9

I've done way too many wishlists for my liking but I could not resist checking this store out. Hhotaru is a store based in Toronto, Canada but have fantastic fashion pieces that are so popular in the Asian world. All these pieces are so aesthetically pleasing and look like they came from Tumblr. I love the monochrome trend and grid patterns. Platform shoes are also high on my wishlist at the moment. I recently purchased a pair of black peep toe platform shoes from Topshop which I have showed in a haul. You can see it here. Yes, I'm doing the Youtube thing.

I also love graphic tees and can we all agree that the model looks cute with those round-framed glasses. I really want a pair even though I'm certain they will look horrid on me. Let's not forget holographic bags.

Overall, I am definitely all aboard into this type of fashion nowadays and the pieces are so wearable and affordable.

Definitely check this store out.

_______

Meanwhile, this week has sort of been overwhelming with having a new waitressing job at a Japanese restaurant. It is pretty good if we neglect my tragic taking order skills and spilling miso soup one time because I filled it too high and it was hot. I've been taking a lot of buses recently because transport is a bitch at times but sometimes I have enjoyed taking the bus over taking the train. It gives me time to think.

Also love the fact the buses have been putting on good oldie tracks on the radio. I heard Stars by Simply Red at least three times on separate occasions. If you don't think you've heard of it, trust me you probably have. Now I can't get the chorus out of my head. It's a beautiful song- well at least to me.

Saturday was spent at the Glebe markets which is the place to be on a Saturday afternoon. I'm not even joking. I'm really impressed that I found a few great finds including a great eyeliner from Stila for only $5 and a cute Forever 21 floral crop for $3. I deliberately wore a shirt that said America on it since it  happened to be the Fourth of July. Thought that was funny. Hope you all had a great Fourth of July if you're from America.

Then we had a massive buffet in Bankstown where I ate myself to the point where I was so full and tired I couldn't stand up straight but worth all the ice-cream and sprinkles and all the food I could eat. Let's just say I won't be eating that for a while.

I Know the Distances are Far Between Us

Top: Topshop
Skirt: Topshop
Shoes: Topshop

These holographic shoes are something I have been dying to have for ages. Seeing them on the sale rack on Topshop instantly meant I had to snatch them. The only pair and in my size. What are the odds? I'm pairing it with one of my favourite skirts- the trustworthy denim skater skirt and my cut-out shoulder top. I love this style and have it in black and white. I am a notorious outfit repeater and this outfit definitely has to be one of the top ones.

I'm looking at these photos having uploaded them and wonder what sort of setting I put my camera on because the quality is horrible. I'm not letting that ruin my day.

At McDonalds somehow my server fucked up my order by giving me an entirely different meal altogether and gave me a coffee instead of a coke. What part of Big Mac don't you understand?

Nothing was going to ruin my day on Friday because Last Dinosaurs. My body has been waiting for this ever since I got my ticket and was looking so forward to it.

I made a vlog for the day which is down below for you all to see. I hope you check it out and enjoy the concert goodness. Last Dinosaurs is a fantastic band and the vibe and energy was electrifying and amazing.  I am starting Youtube so I would love it all if you could check it out. Let me know what you think. Which artists would you love to see in concert?

Gig | Peace at Oxford Art Factory 8/05/15

I'm currently writing this at 12:05am on a Saturday on a train and it feels like I'm having a hangover. A hangover from happiness you mean. From seeing Peace! At Oxford Art Factory. Words can't describe how amazing they were. I was almost at the front and Harrison Koisser. Just marry me. Please bear with the horrible photography as well. An excited Clarissa is one who doesn't know how to work the camera well.

But let's start with how Friday began. With a box of bland, cold salted UNSW chips. 0/10 recommend

Keen to see Alt-J although I probably shouldn't and maybe I should try sell my ticket. As you can tell by my posts, I did end up going and yes it was amazing. You only had one job camera and you bloody ruined it. That blur.

One day I will go inside you and buy some things.

Thought I looked good. You can notice that the blurring of the photo represents the rapid speed that time takes and how whenever we are on a train, time seems to conceptually blur. I made no sense. Nor does this picture.

Did I mention how amazing Peace were? They were incredible. I was bopping along to every song. They began with Money which is just so ever catchy and with hits like Follow Baby, Gen Strange, Lost on Me, California Daze and Bloodshake. It's just impossible for Peace to not make you a happy person and yes do listen to those songs and their album because you will not regret it. Also the venue is really small and intimate so you really can get up close.

If you had a more fab night than me, please enlighten me but I don't think it tops mine.
