Cigarettes in the Theatre | Outfit

From my haul a few posts back, there were so many of you lovelies that complimented on my skirt which was really nice so I'll show you how I style it.

Knit: Country Road | Skirt: Chicabooti | Shoes: Unknown | Bag: from my mum

Haha such a weird pose in the last photo.

I hope you enjoyed it. I think this is a very casual yet dressy look. I'm wearing a green crop knit to give it a bit of colour. I really like the skirt as well so you'll definitely be seeing more of it from me.

March Wishlist

Browsing online is always fun and this March I've found a few items that I think are really lovely. I'm particularly liking the black and white trend that I've seen in a lot of blogs. I think it's chic and versatile. Monochrome is really in at the moment and I would love to have some statement pieces such as the sandals and black skort. Pastels have always been a fan of mine too. I love nail polish and I think Topshop nail polish is the cutest!! I also have loved fluffy cute knits. I know it's spring but it's autumn/fall here so I really want a fluffy cute knit.

Petite Knitted Fluffy Crew Jumper- Topshop £30
Saffron Quilted Wrap Front Skort- Boohoo £15
Cream Metallic Embroidered Tank Top- River Island  £22
#ation 2-Part Cleated Sandals-Topshop £40
White Mini Structured Tote Bag- River Island £30
Nails in Obey-Topshop £5

What have you been liking this March?

Maybelline Baby Lips | Review

I've seen people using Baby Lips for a while now and at only $3.95 (£2) it was hard not to try. For someone with chapped lips, I was excited to use it. And the packaging is so cute.

I got the Anti-Oxidant Berry and they make your lips so soft and they smell quite nice like berries but it doesn't last too long which means you have to apply quite often. They say it lasts for 8 hours but in reality, it's only about 1-2. It's easy to apply and it's non-tinted. It also has SPF 20 so it's good to use in the day.

But for it's price and everyday use, I don't mind and I quite like it and would recommend if you're on a budget or a very very small budget like me. It's affordable and cute! But if you're wanting a solution to chapped lips, I wouldn't rely on this unfortunately.

Rating: 3.5/5

I'm sure most of you have already tried this and if you have, or not but will try, tell me what you thought about it. I'll love to hear what you think.

Day in the City | Haul

I've hit 300 followers on Bloglovin' earlier this week and is absolutely amazing! So thank you everyone.

Today finally ends my exam week which I am sooooo relieved. I talked earlier about stress this week and one way to relive stress is definitely shop.

The first thing I did was go straight to Topshop but no sale=no clothes.

I bought this daisy skater skirt which is lovely OMG! It is so cute and it looks exactly like the one from Forever 21. I can't wait to wear it.

Next I went to LUSH but I tempted myself not to get anything. I did buy something from the Body Shop though.

It's a strawberry shower gel. I bought the smallest size which was £3 which I already regret because I'm going to use it all away. What I love about the body shop is that most of the assistants are British and they are soooo lovely. I wonder if the Body Shops in Britain have chirpy shop assistants. And my receipt said "your cash assistant was FRIENDLY". Like how cute is that? (Or unless her name was actually friendly...)

Before I left, I went to the newsagent and bought an issue of Frankie. Looks gorgeous.

How has your week been lovelies? xx

Feeling Stressed | Lifestyle

This is not a normal blog post of mine but my exams are this week so I'm talking about stress. Hopefully, you learn something from this and help you in some way.

Now to be clear, stress is naturalStress is simply a reaction to a stimulus that disturbs our physical or mental equilibrium. In other words, it's an omnipresent part of our daily life.

People say that stress is bad. But in small doses, stress is quite good. It helps you stay focused, energetic and alert. These are good qualities right? It is only when stress becomes overwhelming that it can be detrimental to your health, mood, productivity, relationships and ultimately the quality of your life.

Now I don't seem a stressed person in fact the stress only comes to me the night before an exam. Then it hits me and it's not until I reach the examination hall and sit in my designated chair that I stress. I start to breath quicker, my heart beats faster, I get sweaty and fidgety and more embarrassingly, I feel a sudden urge to go to the bathroom. But these symptoms are perfectly normal, it's just our body reacting to stress. Other symptoms include:
  • thoughts racing
  • changes to vision
  • dry mouth
  • cold hands
  • tense muscles
  • dizzy/lighthearted
  • quicker and shallow breathing
  • adrenal glands release adrenaline
  • bladder urgency
  • sweaty palms
However, they may feel uncomfortable and you don't want them to be physically affecting you in an exam for example or our daily routine. Stress also affects our mental behaviour-avoidance and and bad work and study habits. Haven't you panicked and just tried to cram all your notes in your brain? It doesn't work. May for some but definitely not ideal anyway. Stress can result in unrealistic expectations of yourself and your abilities and constant negative self talk.

My point is that stress will always be our lives but we must manage stress effectively so it doesn't hinder our capability to function in our daily lives-then it's a worry.

For me, I always take 5 minutes of my day doing nothing which seems like a waste of time but it reduces my stress levels. I like to go outside, usually alone, just immerse myself in nature for a while. There's a park next to my house so that's really convenient. I shower when I get stressed and it feels good too because I'm not procrastinating. In exams, I don't read for all the reading time prior to the exam, I take 1-2 minutes just to control on my breathing. It's so important that we consider the importance of managing stress. You could also talk more positive thoughts but for me, that can only go so far and in my personal experience does not help. It's how you choose to manage it. Everyone has their own different way.

If you liked these posts, comment below. :) I'll love to know what you think. I'm not very stressed so I'm not really one to talk but I love to help and inform people so if you have any concerns about your stress don't be shy to let it out :) We're all here to help! YAY!

And to reduce your stress levels, here's a picture I saw on Tumblr. Awwww!
